About me
My name is Heidi Blanton, and I have been doing my own family research or helping individuals with theirs for almost 20 years. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographic & Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, as well as a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I also have a passion for research and a love of history.
I am originally from Toledo, Ohio, in the United States. Although my research focus initially centred on my family, mostly from Ohio and Kentucky, I have since expanded into UK family research. I also have experience in Germany/Prussia, Ireland, and DNA research.
I currently live in London, United Kingdom, and have been residing here for 15 years. I'm based in Kingston upon Thames, within easy reach of the National Archives in Kew. I'm also a member of the Society of Genealogists and conveniently located near London and the British Library.
